Male genital warts are an STI ( Sexually transmitted disease ) which is very common and spreads easily in men. They are caused by HPV (human papilloma virus) which is very contagious. HPV is responsible for most warts not just male genital warts.

Male genital warts spread through sexual activity, and men with more partners are more at risk of contracting the virus. Once the virus is contracted it could be months before the male genital warts appear.
